Bartlomiej Jan Skorupa
Bartlomiej holds a BA in Finance from the University of Illinois and has 7 years working experience in management and IT consulting, having worked for both Accenture and Slalom Consulting. Working in various industries, Bartlomiej held numerous management positions in 10+ Fortune 500 companies implementing efficient business practices in the USA and Europe. After a medical emergency that literally changed his vision on life, Bartlomiej has spent the past 6 years dedicating himself to ending extreme poverty around the world by investing in groundbreaking ideas from local community leaders through Groundwork Opportunities. When not working directly with tomorrow’s change-makers, Bartlomiej finds inspiration by simply reflecting on the glory of just being alive, right here, right now.co-founder / development director
Jennifer O’ Connor
Jennifer graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 2005 and began working with Teach for America. During her years teaching, she was tasked with developing programs targeted at risk youth within the SF School District, as well as implementing youth leadership and after-school programs. Afterwards, she joined a SF based financial firm working in investor relations, with a passion for corporate social responsibility. She began working as the Major Gifts Director at the non-profit, Amazon Watch, in 2008. Jennifer currently leads the development and program teams of Groundwork Opportunities, which she co-founded in 2008, alongside Bart Skorupa and Kyle Miller. She has extensive experience in non-profit development, fundraising and program strategy and implementation, as well as providing leadership and direction to a growing team. She has worked and implemented development programs around the world, including Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Sudan, Rwanda, Ghana, Malawi, Mali, Cambodia, Israel, and South America.
Thomas recieved a BA in Sustainability and Social Justice at San Francisco State University. His compassion for marginalized communities all around the world is what first drew him to GO. Prior to GO, he worked for the Golden Gate Parks Conservancy and Greenaction, an environmental justice organization in San Francisco. Thomas is the volunteer manager and main contributor to The GO Store, which leverages the power of the online market to help community artisan cooperatives at our projects grow and expand their local businesses. Thomas lives for the traveling backpacker experience, and enjoys a good cup of coffee.lead design
Barclay graduated in 2005 from elon university with a BA in corporate communications and a desire to be in the world of advertising. Instead, she began working as a graphic designer for a magazine in Charleston, South Carolina and quickly realized her skills and interests lie in the creative world. in 2008 she packed up her car as drove west to san francisco. She soon discovered GO and was immediately attracted to the organization because of their mission and branding. she asked if she could help, and the rest is history.events manager
Heather holds a BA in Supply Chain Management & Marketing from Michigan State University. She began her career in Sales and has since spent the last five years specializing in Event & Meeting Planning. Her event experience ranges from working for start-ups to Fortune 500 companies, such as Thomson Reuters. Combining her love for details and her passion for living life to the fullest, she desired to take her experience to the non-profit sector. Volunteering at one of GO’s first events over four years ago, she now plans and manages all of GO’s fundraisers and consults GO Champions. When she is not planning her next globe trotting adventure, she loves to surround herself with people who strive to seek, to find and not to yield.
